Now I am a Grandma too. Actually, I go by Nana, and I have two, soon to be three grandchildren. I thought this time of my life would be a little slower. No more babies in the house. My own baby is turning 13. I figured that a this point, that I would probably have a grandchild or maybe even two. But this spring, I had two pregnant daughters, and one toddler granddaughter. She is and will continue to be our princess, since the two new babies are boys. So now I am a wife, a homeschool mom, a grandmom, a senior caregiver, and a Master Herbalist, with my own consulting business. You can access my other website EsseoNaturals.
How did our Health Journey begin? Years ago shortly after one of my dear daughters began high school, she began having consistent daily migraines. We took her to the family doctor, who prescribed antibiotics for a suspected sinus infection. There was no improvement, and so she was referred to the ENT (Ear Nose and Throat Specialist), who prescribed two rounds of Keflex for the suspected sinus infection. with no improvement. From this, we took her to Temple Hospital and Children's Hospital. She had blood tests, CAT Scans, MRI's and still no answers. I then in desperation decided I needed to figure that out. I started researching migraines, and came up with MSG being a possible cause. We put my daughter on an Elimination Diet, and my ADHD son asked to join her. Within eight days, my son was sitting still. And within two weeks, my daughter was migraine free. That was the beginning of my family's health journey. Excited about the obstacles we had just overcome, I began self-guided study for eight years, then in 2012 I began my education at the School of Natural Healing. This has been an amazing experience. There are two options: correspondence or on-line. I chose on-line and that worked well for me. While at the School in Utah, I met other students who had chosen the correspondence and loved it. The curriculum was amazing, with countless stories of how people's health was improved through natural methods. Although, I have to say I enjoyed and gained alot from every well chosen book, my favorite was and still is Dr. Mom, by Sandra Ellis.
